ABOUT US

You could say we are a horse loving family.

That wouldn’t bother us at all.

Horses are our passion, an obsession, just like wine, and the inspiration for Leaping Horse wines.

​

In our humble view, there is no animal that embodies grace and power as beautifully as a horse. With that in mind, we have created Leaping Horse Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay to be elegant and Leaping Horse Red Blend, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon to be structured and powerful. Our approachable lineup can satisfy the palates of wine tasting novices and aficionados alike.

Just as a horse needs sunshine, nourishment, and open space to thrive, so do the vineyards that source Leaping Horse wines. Sustainably farmed vineyards are selected for these wines. This includes integrated pest management, cover crops, soil fertility, water management, and wildlife habitat that are utilized and implemented throughout the vineyards.

Leaping Horse is much more than an image on a label. It’s an inspiration behind this elegant and beautiful brand of wines.

Leaping Horse Vineyards Merlot .png
LEAPING HORSE MERLOT

Straight-forward in style, the Leaping Horse Merlot has violet and dark fruit aromas with pleasant plum, black cherry, and a little green olive character creeping into the flavor. Mouth-filling yet smooth.

LEAPING HORSE PINOT GRIGIO

Our Pinot Grigio has exotic floral notes, followed by green apples, citrus, and a light spiciness that exude throughout this wine. It finishes with a touch of red apple and fresh peaches.

RED BLEND

Leaping Horse Red Blend is a medium-bodied wine with a sweet berry profile, such as black cherries and strawberries, as well as red apples with a juicy integrated fruit and chocolate finish.

LEAPING HORSE CHARDONNAY

Medium-bodied with a delightful pale yellow hue, Leaping Horse Vineyards Chardonnay is bright and crisp from start to finish. It has citrus highlights to green apples, pears, and tropical fruit aromas and flavors.
